How long does it take to execute a painting ?

- All depends, the subject, the size, the details and the medium.

- In Acrylic, surely a lot faster than Oil.  Acrylic dries quickly and I can work day after day on the same subject. Oil needs to dry between applications.

- An average size portrait - (example like my self portrait, front page) in Oil  would take 3 months. 20" x 16" and it would need to dry before varnishing.

- In watercolour - 2 or 3 days again all depends the size or subject, sometimes it might need a week work.
